Test light for TPS testing

Ok, so I made myself a test light setup for testing the TPS but I can't get either of the lights to light up now matter how far I adjust it. Does this mean that the TPS is bad? If so anyone know a good place to get one or does anyone have one they would be willing to get rid of? BTW I have an 85 gsl-se.

IIRC theres a mistake in the Haynes manual on that test. Not sure if the Mazda FSM has the same error or not. You might be able to test it per FC guys. Using a multimeter and taking the readings at idle and full throttle. Look in the 2nd gen forum. There was a thread there. Here it is. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/harmful-run-w-o-tps-412507/

Oh and if the TPS turns out to be bad I have a 12A one you can use. Only difference AFAIK is the mounting bracket. You would have to pry it out of the brackets and swap them over.

I used a multimeter at first and that was a pain so I tired the light method. I would love to try the 12A one you have though.
