tension bolt question

tension bolt question

i've heard you need to torque the tension bolts in a certian way? anyone care to show/tell me how?

yes u have to tighten them in a certain order. it should be listed in the FSM.

It is listed in the FSM, as well as the instruction to tighten in stages. Do it wrong and your keg won't seal up properly, and you could warp housings or plates.

Word of advice....
Follow the sequence and use a torque wrench.
Just sealed my motor last night following the manual and everything went well..

alrighty. i got the sequence.

should i do em all in 3 stages of 8 ft-lb?
ie. tighten all to 8 lbs then 16 lbs then 24lbs?

That would work fine; finger-tight, then once around the pattern at 8, then again at 16, and a final time at 24.
