I just like using the tig welder. I'm going to make a nice throttle cable holder. Tonight I took my old school hks wastegate apart to sandblast, paint and bake it to cure the heat paint. But the diaphragm in it was toasty it was flaking on the bottom side. Hks diaphragms are expensive. So I ordered a hks eBay look a like. I'm pretty sure I can use the parts to rebuild my WG.

I forgot to ask: how tight does that weird connector fit the back of your turbo? Like does it slip on with little effort or do you have to tap it on with a small hammer?

beat it with a rubber mallet. its in there tight. Those rings seam to really seal it. I put up another post of the engine installed and the start of the downpipe.

Ah, sounds good. The thickwall tube I mentioned earlier should install in a similar way.
