Of those two, I think I'd go RS5. I like the way the spokes extend all the way to the tire (almost). Kinda gives it the illusion of being a larger rim than it is. That and I'm not a big fan of the screws around the perimeter of the Konigs.

I like the Konigs. I've got Enkei RSEs myself and the 3-piece-rim look (with the little bolts around the rim) looks very correct on these cars.

See?

I must agree. The screws are only cool if the wheel is a true 3 piece. Otherwise whats the point? It's like wearing a fake watch.

I never meant to imply that everyone should be able to afford expensive 3 piece wheels. I believe that amongst the more cost-effective varieties, I prefer the ones that don’t pretend to be something they are not, specifically 3 piece wheels.

But above all, to each is own. If you like them, then thats all that matters.

i wasnt being angry, just joking around. to me buying 3 peice look alikes isnt quiet like buying a fake watch. its say, more like owning a 1st gen instead of a 3rd gen. not being able to afford the best, but still pretty damn cool, for alot less.

Your info says you have a 79. Did you swap out your suspension for SE stuff? If not, I think you'll be in for a disappointment on wheel selection.

You're set then. You will be able to find almost any wheel at any price for your car if you look around long enough. Let me find this link to a good online store.....

http://www.discounttire.com/dtc/home.jsp

Never actually purchased from them, but they ahve a great selection for the GSL-SE. Some pretty smooth lookin rims IMO.

Funny you should mention this. I've actually decided to sell my 3rd gen and just keep the 1st gen for now. It's a long story, but it's not a case of "having to." I am confident I'll be happy with only the 1st gen for a while.

Do it, then dump some coin in the 1st gen, especially on the suspension. I sold my FD in Sept... life goes on. Anyway, I identifiy more with the FB, it sounds better, parts are cheaper, and it's one helluva lot easier to work on
