ok i got my 83 limited edition smoged and all is great, now i think i want a custom tag. any ideas? its Colorado and i think 6 or 7 spaces. was thinking "83 L.E." or "LTD ED":wavey:

Ask RX7Passion about tagging stuff, wait wrong kind of tag... How about Rotary? Or RX-7? Or 83 RX-7, or IH85.0s, something nifty, you'd be suprised what isnt taken... I found out a month or so after I registered my 7 that RX-7 wasnt taken as a license plate number... Kicked myself in the **** hard for missing that one... It might be bad though, cuz I'm thinking of selling my car and if I dont buy a 7 I'd be screwed... Especially since I've got my eyes on a Stang... LEAVE ME ALONE, I LIKE EM OK!!!

I don't think that the letter "O" is available in Calif.
But you can get "Q"

But I've thought about your point before. Why have a plate that is too easy to remember? In this day and age, the less identifiable markings the better. Even partial plate #'s can be tracked.

A dude I know had to appear in court because an old lady he buzzed by called him in on her cell phone. Within 30min. after she called him in, the cops busted him putting in gas further down the road. (Custom plates).

CHiP called my house one day asking where we were on the night of such and such. Appears that someone in a vehicle that looked like my wife's SUV backed into someone's garage a few weeks prior. 30 miles from my house, if I may add. The owner of the garage saw my wife's SUV on the Freeway one day and took down her plate and phoned it in for some reason. (Custom plate easy to remember) This doesn't make any sense to me either. The cops didn't pursue it after the phone call. I wonder how many other black SUVs there are in a 30 mile radius of Los Angeles!!!
