I removed the damn thing from mine right after I got it. For some reason mine wouldn't shut off. If I had the fuse in that runs the dome light and the radio the buzzer would constantly go off.

I would be willing to bet that half the cars on here has a non functional buzzer.

My 82 GSL, when I bought it about a year ago, the buzzer never worked. Either that or the previous ownder disconnected it as he disconnected quite a few things and changed things around in the car.

Howevery, my bro's 84 GSL, his buzzer works...and it's kinda funny the first few times, but it's annoying after then.

The buzzer is supposed to go off at 7,000RPM.... redline. My dad said he disconnected his when he had his rx-2. I'm gonna ask him how he did it so I can get rid of mine as well.

finding a way to make the stock buzzer run a shift light instead of nuzzing would be awesome. All we'd have to do is find the wire that triggers it, the type of output it sends (pos or neg) and build a relay to use that input to trigger the shift light....

Ahhh a shift light! I am there! that is on the list of thing to do!! hell yeah! should be easy, when you take out the cluster, it is mounted right on the back. I cant remember if there is seperate wires running it or if it is soldered onto the panel, but either way it should be simple if you know how to solder

well i have a red LED mounted in my cluster between the tach and speedo, but its not hooked up to anything. i thought it would be a no-brainer where the buzzer got its power from, but i couldnt fine where to put it. it would be cool to take the buzzer out and just have the light. i was also going to use a (forgot the name) so i could have a **** that could adjust when the light came on. any ideas?
