T4 or T3 turbo...

Which would better suit my 12a street port:
T3, T04, or a eclipse t25?

I can get a T3 for $100 with these specs: A/R .42 turbine side A/R .48
I could also get a brand new T-04B15 for $350 A/R 60 size intake housing

matt

Most T3s are too small. The 2nd gen turbos are like .8 or something on the exhaust side. You should look at like T04s or something. Search the 2nd gen forum for the turbo sizes, then find a turbpo close to that size.

Not if you're an Aussie.
They like those huge "drag-only" turbos on everything.

I think that's gonna lag too much for street use.
Try a .96 or smaller.

Just one runner of the s4 turbos are .8, the combined total of the two is 1.0 (I can't remember which booket I read it in) but just the A/R doesn't tell you a whole lot.

a stock s5 turbo would work well on a 12 streetport.

I will have one to sell soon.

Most people on a ported motor use higher A/R ratios on turbine.... the t3 with .42 A/R would just suck, don't even consider it. T04's with .88 - .96 A/R is probably what you should be looking for.
