syn or dino premix?

So I have read about the synthetic vs dino oil threads and the what 2 cycle threads but none really talked about synthetic 2 cycle. So what are the thoughts on that? I have tried many 2 cycle oils as I premix (no omp) I have found that in my car all the Dino oils seem to smoke, and some of the synthetics do but not all of them. Lucas fully synthetic 2 cycle I have never seen a puff of smoke. And with quick silver it smokes like crazy! So all you premixers, have you tried synthetic 2 cycle? If so have you had issues? if you only use Dino 2 cycle why?

4oz of Walmarts cheepest 2-stroke per tankful (plus fully-op OMP). Bit of smoke on start but that's it.
No issues at 95K mi on original beer keg...

I recently bought a 1985 12a that is premix (no OMP) and am wondering the same. Seems like syn makes more sense but there also seems to be a lot of advice to stay away from syn with the rotary motor.

i run the pettit racing premix, its pretty cheap and is specifically designed for the rotary engine. it burns cleaner then most of the other premix on the market

Been premixing for years. I just get what ever stuff is available at the gas station when I fill up. Nothing fancy. Mine has never smoked but I get a bit of a 2 stroke smell. I run 1 oz per gallon

I personally would believe that 2 stroke synthetic oil would be fine in the rotary. It's meant to be burned whereas the point of normal synthetic motor oil is to avoid burnoff (as well as the additives that re-swell seals - that sounds scary).

I'd probably prefer using synthetic 2 stroke oil in the thought that it was man made to burn well and keep 2 stroke engines running strongly.

I say go for it

Theres no problem using synthetic oils, 2 stroke for premix or motor oil. That myth has long been busted. Just stay away from cheap synthetics. Buy good stuff like Amsoil, Royal Purple..etc. Idemitsu and Pettit both make good premix.

The biggest advantage of using synthetic 2-stroke for premixing is that, not only is it designed to burn and lubricate better, but it also stays suspended in the fuel much better than dino 2-stroke and wont settle or separate nearly as fast.

I personally run AMSOIL Saber 100:1 synthetic premix abt 95% of the time

When getting my car out of winter storage, or after repairs, etc. I'll put some 2stroke syn oil in me tank to help keep things lubed up. After all, the syn. stuff is designed to burn "cleanly" as possible. Plus it smells AWESOME...Does anyone here use "the good stuff" aka Bell Ray's "MC-1" or Klotz's "R-50"? This is the stuff I always ran in me 2Stroke dirt bikes, and wonder if anyone runs these on a normal basis? They're expensive, but designed for clean burning 2-stroke consumption at a ratio of ~50:1.

Awesome! Did the math on it... Bad idea, I found that since I pre mix I spend an additional 41¢ a gallon of gas, 1oz per gallon. Its a 1:120 ratio but from what I understand that about what oil injectors run at
