ok i worked out the few kinks that were in my car and got it working.. webbers would be nice down the road.. but if i can keep this carb running good and it turns out to be fine with my blow though then ill leave it be.. has anyone discussed swapping to FI though.. i guess you'll need a whole new manafold with a standalong system.. megasquirt? just wondering..

you can, but it wont be easy.
The only fuel injected rotaries I have delt with are the fc engines. They have fuel injectors in the intermediate housing.
The other two options you have are, GSL-SE setup, as I know they only use 2 injectors unlike the FC enignes which use 4.
The same is true for the 12a turbo engine. The 2 injectors could be on the manifold or on the intermediate housing. If they are on the intermidiate housing, then its probably not possible with your enigne. Again, I'm not sure what the exact setup is on these engines. I'll go check in my haynes manual real quick... at least well know for the SE's enigne.
Personally if I were to do all the work to convert to FI, I'd probably go the whole nine yards and go for a more powerfull engine. (12a turbo or a 13b)
If you want to keep your current enigne, I'd look at getting a better carb, and porting the motor. keep in mind if you do this your going to need a much better flowing exaust to take advantage of the newfound power.

I just checked my haynes manual, and sure enough the injectors are in the intermediate housing. I can only assume the same is true for the 12a turbo. So if you wanted to keep your current engine, you'd have to swap intermediate housings from a 12a turbo or a GSL-SE 13b.
A FC 13b intermediate housing will not work becuase of the water seal being moved on those engines.

You can always get a Weber compatible intake manifold and put a fuel injection throttle body on it. This would probably make alot of power over a stock carb. Unfortunately, if you're going to go from carb to FI, you'll need a computer. This means big $. Check out these sites:

Here's a nice Fuel Injected 12A.

I had rotary shack turbo prep my engine. I bought a 12at from him. He pulled the EFI crap off, installed some injector plugs. He had to bore out the top of the intake manifold to fit my Nikki carb. On the carb you have to pull off the declerating pump and controls..., you also have to seal up the carb with is easily done with some JB weld. I cant get my hood to close either, you can fix that with drilling holes in your front motor mount and dropping the engine 1/2", or do what im doing and cut a hole in the hood and get a nice carbon fiber hood scoop.....
Peace

Hmmm, a FI 12a would be sweet, but I agree with whoever said it earlier, I'd rather just swap over to a FC 13b and use that engines existing FI. I like the quote in your sig directfreak
