Supercharger in a rotary!

Has anyone done this?

If so, how did it work? How hard was the labour?

It would be going into a 13B...

Even if you haven't tried it, educated opinions are always handy...

For arguments shake about whether a turbo would be a better moce, I already have an Eaton M90 supercharger.

Thanks!

I'm planning somthing along the lines of an Eaton M90 myself, but I'm leaning more towards a Magnuson/Eaton MP90.

Atkins makes good stuff, but they can't compare to the efficiancy of an Eaton.

You planning carb or EFI?

I HATE that "search" response! It's really difficult to search and get meaningful results for some questions, and I think this is one of them...It's not that difficult to give the answer (assuming you know the answer).

From what I've read, a blower is a lot easier to install and gives the Wankel a nice kick in the low end, which it can use. I'm in the process of installing one...installation is a piece of cake. I'll have to report back on how well it performs.

Good luck,
Rich

If you can find rexrecycle and PM him he did an Eaton on a 12a about 12 years ago. He's the kind of guy that thinks way outside the box and builds some cool stuff.

Christ get it done already!!! I check here everyday wondering if you got the thing installed yet. I want to hear your results and if it was worth it. I'm thinking about doing the same thing but I want consumer reports about it first.

Yea, I'm moving pretty slow. Combination of being deliberate to make sure I know what I'm doing, and working too much. I hope to get a lot done in the next couple of weeks. I still need to clean out the fuel tank, get a new fuel pump and install it, install the oil cooler and get lines made for it. I haven't buttoned up the motor for good yet...just want to make sure everything is right first. I haven't figured out why the nut won't lock the flywheel down tight...I run out of threads before it's tight, so I have to figure that out.

Thanks for the interest!

Rich

Yea, I have the front cover drilled and tapped and the fitting installed for the oil return line and have the oil feed line all ready to put on. I didn't have them on yet when I took the picture in my signature. Actually, I still don't have them on permanently!
