That was last spring just after break-in, I run it more aggressively now. It will have a new, better carb (Barry Grant 650 double pumper s/c carb) and chemical intercooling. I have also modified the lower intake manifold to increase port velocity on the primaries and changed the exhaust as well. New video's this spring will be even better!

So how much is a Barry Grant running these days, and does he set them up for rotarys?

Clutch isn't slipping (rb street/strip), just let my foot hang there too much after second since I was going to stop soon (momentary indecision). I don't like to bang the geras too hard until I pick up a parts car and acquire a spare trans and diff. I blew up a few muncie's in my big block chevelle (20 years ago). The Barry Grant is a carb that is designed for a supercharger, but like any carb you need to tune it for your engine, climate and altitude. Fortunately I'm an old dog who's been around the block back in the big block days of old and can handle tuning this carb on my own.

Thats not clutch slipping, that's clutch RIDING. Eeek. I thought I was gonna puke when I heard that. Lol. J/K bro.

But seriously if that's the way you drive it, invest in some driving courses next - that will be a big help to get you off that poor clutch and help you shift a little better/faster. It will single-handedly be the biggest difference you can make in your track times.

I sure did read. And watched. And four videos out of four you ride the clutch. I dont care if you dont like my comment, I stated the truth. A good driving lesson will help you out. If you dont want to, fine -have fun killing your nice RB clutch.

Well, it appears you didn't read...he explained why he did that, which implies he knew he did it, which implies he knows how to not do it. Whatever.

I understand the momentary indecision if he had happened to hesitate on it only one time... but it was the same in every video... Hence the recommendation for a class. The recommendation shouldnt be taken so poorly. It's a good idea really, I've taken two - and they were worth every penny. I've spent more $ in performance parts on my cars and gotten less results. But hell, if you guys cant take it like big boys, dont post videos of your poor driving.

I can slam the gears with the best of them. If I had a spare SE or S5 transmission than I would do so. I "blew up" 2 muncies behind a 375hp 396 when I was young and it isn't a cheap repair. On one shift I actually split open one of the sliders. Can I pound a shift quick as anyone, yes! Do I tend to pound the crap out of my car regularly, nope. Hell, last year I only put 5,000 km on it. This thing looks good because it hasn't been abused, hasn't seen winter and has 135,000 original km on it (about 70,000 miles).

Wow, old thread from the dead. Here ya go http://media.putfile.com/BRIDGPORTED-13B-COMPILATION http://media.putfile.com/bridgeported-supercharged-13b No efi kit for the SE. You will need a rebuild before boosting. Dollar for dollar I'd suggest a TII swap.
