Super sleeper air cleaner

Mentioned to a couple of people that I was planning on doing this but finally had some good weather this weekend for painting. Took my racing beat air cleaner and painted it oem blue. Also spent a considerable amount of time recreating the lettering in photoshop and cutting it out of vinyl. Turned out really awesome in my opinion.

I'm trying to modify gus as tastefully as possible. I guess I'm trying to make an oem appearing sleeper car. Everything is hidden or appears as factory as possible. Lemme know what you think. I'm really pleased.

AND CHECK OUT MY BUILD THREAD IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. IT'S KINDA DEAD AND I'M LONELY IN MY THREAD. HAHA. GUS IS OFFICIALLY BACK ON TRACK.

Jamie

Very nice work Jaimie. I'm with you on the stock look.

Check out this unit I picked up on ebay last week, it came in yesterday, its mint. Maybe you could make some of these too?:

That would look good with the RB base.

Looks top-drawer, sir!

Wish I'd known you were working on the lettering... could have saved you some time. But your work turned out XLNT.

I made mine own with photoshop and my wife's vinyl cutter. The cutter will trace out whatever image you send it. I was going to do outlined letters like the factory air cleaner but it proved to be slightly too intricate and cumbersome for the cutters capability.

No... but I have the artwork from when I recreated them as digital files. Same thing Jamie had to also do, basically.

I made them in order to make silkscreens for printing the lettering back onto my stock air cleaner, after I chromed it.
