With the wiring, I'd like to make a suggestion.
With the brass bolts you're using, it appears that the wiring will be semipermanently attached to the box, right? The screw head will be outside and the nuts inside?
Your concern is that if you turn the the opposite way around, it'll hit the chassis and short out the amplifier.
Instead of nuts on the outside, I suggest using binding posts. Sometimes the plastic covered nuts on these are removable. Find some brass bolts that'll match the thread pattern and rotate the hardware so that the head is inside and the last nut on the ouside would be plastic covered.
Or the one to the far left of this pic looks like it might be nice.
Perhaps it's available with a longer shaft that'll go through the MDF.

I can't do metal work. I'm sure some other member can hook you up.
Although, there's a welder at Home Depot I want to buy... I'm thinking of taking a class.

My rear suspension is almost back in... Just gotta wait for some undercoating to dry, then I'm yanking the headlights to look at designing the flushmount kit.

Those of you who are buying enclosures, I want one final roll call... Let me know if you want 10's, 8's or 6 x 9's, if you want to use square subs or not (most of you I think is not), and if you want to keep your spare or not.
