I'm trying to avoid fiberglassing. Worst case, the inside might get one layer, but if I can avoid it, I will.

You just need the experience. If you have the knowledge check for the test dates and take it. Circuit City should have a program in place for certification. ****, its been since 96-96 when I got certified and I'm getting old so the memory is fading. Only 34!

I have the Mk V, the band saw, and the belt sander. My GFs uncle bought all of it a few years back, but decided to give up woodworking now that he's getting older, and so I bought it all from him.

The kick panels are gonna be easy enough, and I just gotta wait for the rain to stop to pull the headlights.

Good looking box! I might have to do something like that now instead of glassing in my own. I don't know . . .

Waiting on a pic of the finished product, but I start a new job in a few weeks, so I'll have more cash then.

Also gotta decide on whether I want 8's or 10's...

Could it be recessed even further into the rear end if they were 8's?

I suppose it could, but with the amount of time and everything I'm spending on this, I really don't want to build two different boxes. Remember, the way I'm building this, it's going to be basically flush with where the carpet was.

By the way, all you guys who want to keep your spares ******* SUCK!!!! Half the problems I've been running into have been because of the motherfucking spare tire.

And oh yeah, we're onto version 4.0 now. I'm catching up with AOL.

4 spots left at $200. For those of you who have paid, let me know if you would rather keep the spare tire, or if you want to ditch it. It's MUCH easier for me to build the enclosures if you get rid of the spare, so when the price goes up, it will be $275 w/o the spare, $290 to keep it.

Definitely be able to go with the 5 1/4, might even be able to go 6 1/2. $75 - $100 a pair, I'll decide on final price when they're done.

For those of you who have been PMing me, here's the definitive list of stuff I'm making for my car and will be willing to duplicate for you guys:

Sub enclosure $200 for now, going up to $275 after 4 more are sold
Kick panels between $75 and $100 for the pair
Flush mount headlights Best guess, $300-$400 a pair, depending on multiple things
Front spoiler/airdam thing Probably about $100
Rear spoiler Also around $100

I'll probably be willing to do the deposit method on all of those just like I've been doing on the sub boxes.

I might mess around with widebody stuff, fender flare stuff, skirts, etc. Hood vent (for my intercooler)... we'll see how it turns out. Everything I'm doing is 100% my own design, no copying of anyone else's stuff. I'm making my own stuff mostly because the stuff that's out there, I don't like.
