Stupid horn is giving me headaches
Alright, so this one is for you electrical gurus out there:
Why in the world does my horn randomly beep when I'm making tight turns? When I'm doing freeway driving or street driving, I've got no problems at all. When I'm pulling in or out of a parking space, though, and I need to turn sharply? Beep beep!
This is especially nice for my neighbors, as I leave for work around 5am on weekdays. I imagine the cause could be some kind of short in the column, but when trying to reproduce the issue, I generally can't 'force' a beep. It's just when I'm making those tight tight turns.
Any experience with this, anyone? I'd love to hear that it's just one of those 'aging car' quirks. For the record: 1985 GS.
Thanks

Is it only during right turns? It may be an oil level warning buzzer. I know that FC's will "beep" at you if the oil's too low and you take a hard right. Just trying to help, so if I'm dead wrong, sorry for wasting your time.

Had an car many years ago that did the same thing. Turned out that the plates that contact each other to make the connection to make the horn work were slightly warped and just barely touched each other when I tuned the wheel.
