New rule for Miata's. 2 heterosexual men riding in the same Miata must wear helmets, to avoid being confused with gays.

i dont know if i should be happy or embarrassed to have a miata as a daily beater.

That's a personal preference. Would you want anyone to be able to see your face in a Miata, other than at the racetrack?
I've always said, it's hard to look real cool in a Miata, except at the track......
