Street port

What is the price of getting a 12A street ported? How much HP do you gain if you have a stock carb, RB header, and magnaflow muffler with a street port?

Depends on who does it. Most of the cost is in rebuilding the engine though. If you skimp on the build, the porting will be pointless, on account of the fact that it'll blow up 10 months later

And the HP depends on how it's ported. How aggressive you are with a streetport will affect the HP a lot. The skill of the technician is important too. Anybody can grind out the shape of the port in 20 minutes. What matters is the 6 hours you spend finishing it.

I charge $500 for a set of street ported irons and housings. You supply the irons.

Having a street port without a carb up grade would be a waste of money. With luck you might end up with an extra 15rwhp. To get the best from a streetport you need to either get a performance carb such as an IDA 48 or have a Stirling/Carl modified Nikki.

As RustyRotary said, even then the increase in hp will depend on how far the port has been extended. a street port can be anything from a minor port enhancement to as near to a bridge as you can get. With a matching carb and exhaust it could be anywhere from 130-180 hp at the flywheel depending on the size, shape, and skills of the mechanic.
