Story of an 85

We got this car for Free from a guy in ATL.

It needed a drive shaft and was a bit hard to start, Its only real fault was it is an Auto.

We sold it to a friend who drove the heck out of it for a year, His wife got a bit close to a truck that decided to back up and tore up the front end.

It was sad, But he got enough insurance money to buy an 83 and the blue car gave it's rear for the new one.

We bought it back for the engine and are going to pull it and finish the strip this week. Goes to the Crusher by the end of the week.

why crush it?? it seems like a perfectly salvageable car!! you should strip what you want and sell or give away the shell to someone who could use it for a track car or for any parts that you dont take. see, the southern cars are valuable to us northern guys because they arent all rusted out and actually have wheel wells. a lot of 7's i come across are wasted due to rust and i'd personally NEVER scrap a straight bodied car, even with a little damage. i buy 7's wrecked hard if they have a rust free body. i'll straighten the body and keep the car or sell it once i'm finished, just to save it.

I've got two more lawn ornaments going to the crusher at the end of the summer, minus the good parts, of course. They are located in beautiful rural Jefferson, GA, if any one is interested.

Nice work Matt on keeping not only this 7 going but all the others you have contributed to (including mine).

Yeh those 12As make great lawn ornaments too, I've got two good ones coming out of the parts cars once I get an engine hoist built. Who knows, one day the 12A in my DD might need to be replaced. 1st gen RX-7s live for ever, in one form or another.

Not sure how a blue 7 becomes a Gray Z but anyway.
