I'm told dead stock 12A's are about 85hp at the ground... that a pretty nice improvement! Did you log air/fuel ratios too? (I don't see what fuel pump you're running... )

You guys sound like a buncha spoiled brats!
What the hell'ja want; a full out racecar for nothing?
And gueeze, whad'ja expect from a stocker carb on a street port?
It's the title of this thread that kills me! Stock does'nt suck, dude. It's already "one-up" on almost any other stock comparable car.
It's just a great starting point, that's all.
What's all this Dyno-**** about, anyhow? I keep reading about how they are'nt consistant with one and other...
You know that guy that caught the gazillion pound marlin in Florida over the summer? The scale they had was'nt big enough, so they had to drive the thing to some farmer (or something) that called up and said he had a certified scale that was big enough.
Point?...The scale had to have been certified by the "Weights and Measures" dudes for it to have been official.
Don't dynos get certified by these guys, too?

Hey, my car was a street port with a stock carb Come to think of it 100whp is about right... I calculated 130 or 138hp at the flywheel, depending on whose numbers you go by, and that was with a better (but still insufficient) fuel pump.
A stock carb is good for about 145-150hp, on a stock port engine, after you play with the fuel curve The power can be had, you just need to TUNE it.

i was thinking(hoping) id have about 115 or so on the ground. the main reason i did dyno it was for a baseline. when i get this r.e dcd setup on and tuned i want to know what was and what is

I bet you could still get 150 bhp out of the stock carb if you put a little effort in it Oh well, certainly you can get more than that out of the DCD's.
