Are stock gas caps vented ?

When i bought my car it came with a GATES( Or STANT) brand gas cap as shown in pictures . Unfortunately it has developed two tears along the gasket and I went out looking for a new one . It seems the ones Mazdatrix / Atkins sells are not vented ( I may be wrong) and the mazda revision looks the same . The few i can find like mine are not shipping to CA ( laws ) . Autozone sells a duralast that looks like a clone of mine , would this work ?

The stock style ones (like your current one) are not vented. The tank vents though the charcoal canister. If the AutoZone one is the same it will work.

The one i have IS vented . It has a little hole at the bottom and if i suck on it air goes through but if I blow on it nothing goes out .

The tank is also vented with a hose that runs to the drivers side frame rail and sticks through a hole.

Is it the tube that sticks out in a plastic L shape ?

Update :
Amazing how much of a change this gas cap has made . My car has NEVER felt so smooth and powerful . It seems the gas was never reaching the correct pressure and making my engine act all weird . The last few times it has rained my gas was also getting contaminated with moisture and the car would idle poorly for a while.
