Still no real start.....

Did the MMO treatment, tried to start it. Idled a little rough and very weakly for about 15seconds, tried to give it any gas at all, stalls. Cranked it again, started, same thing. I plan on doing a compression test to make sure that thats not the problem, other than that, dont really know what it would be, any ideas?

Your description is too general. We need to know what has been done so far.
With this information, I would check for a large vacuum leak.

ok, i'll post the full story again. The previous owner was driving to work, and all of a sudden he lost engine power, it slowly died and the engine stopped running after about a mile. It sat for 4 months until i bought the car. I found it had a bad igniter, and i replaced it. Still wont start, tried new plugs, still no, put back in old ones to do MMO, after MMO, still wont start. Where would i check for a vacuum leak? I checked a few of the lines, and they seemed fine. Could it be an apex seal?

I would start with a compression check. If you have a bad apex or side seal your problems are solved or just beginning depending on how you look at it.
If you need information on how to do a compression test come back and post.

i think i know how to do a compression test, take out trailing plugs, screw in comp tester, hold in release pin so you get seperate readings for all 3, watch needle jump. do the same thing on the other rotor, is that right?

Yes, that is correct. What you want to look for is three
evenly spaced needle jumps of at least 90-psi.
Good Luck

Without hearing the soundfile it sounds like dead engine. If you have a carbureted model don't worry about killing the fuel pump.

well it is carb but i already killed the pump found which fuse to pull, and its out. what do you mean by "dead" just that something is bad that costs more to replace than get a new engine? or that apex seals are dead?

With your car and all I can guess that you probably tried anything and everything to get your car started right up
