Steering woes (question about steering column)

Okay, the situation is as follows. I had to pull out my steering box (power steering box that is) and column this morning to do some stuff under the dash (long story, not to be told here). When I put it back in, the wheels will turn only a little bit to the right, but too far to the left. My question is do I just need to unbolt the column and reattach it twisted 360 degrees? Or is there a larger problem at work here? I guess it boils down to me wondering whether there's a lock in the column itself that only allows, say, 4 turns (2 in each direction). Hopefully this is the case as I need to be on the road tonight. Thanks guys, I appreciate any light that can be shed on this.

Well, I figured it out after tearing everything out of my car again and then putting it all back in. Unfortunately, I found out that the column plays no part in it too late and now my car isn't able to be driven until tomorrow when I can go buy the stuff I need. Thanks anyway for the help and I appreciate all ten views that people gave me. Check out my rant for further sarcasm.
