Steering wheel!!!

Won't come off =X
I took off the horn cover
got the bolt outta the center and it said to just pull straight back and it'll come off

its in an 81 its stock

it won't just come straight off what else is there to do?

I agree on the wiggle the **** out of it. Don't smack it with anything because you'll collapse the column.

Put a mark on the shaft and on the wheel so you can line it up when you put it back on. Put the bolt part of the way back on or you will hit yourself in the face with the steering wheel when it breaks loose. Grab it at 9 and 3 and rock it back and forth. It should come off after a few tries. When you put it back on, pay attention to the two pins on the cancel cam or you will break them off.

haha well thanks more and likely i'd ended up getting hit in the face
but yea i marked where everything was i'll go try it real quick or in the morning before school

The one in my 82 wouldn't come off either, but with it not moving the previous 17 years thats not really a surprise. Soaked it with WD-40 then grabbed the top and bottom and pushed and pulled over and over, it eventually came free.

yea i never thought of trying that either but I know that when I tried earlier it wasn't budging at all
I tried lockin the steering wheel and pulling just straight back then i unlocked it and tried to pull straight back but i didn't think of wiggling it

k it came off with wiggleing at 9 nd 3 on it

but haha i almost hit myself in the face still
