Started car, then it shut off itself got a question.

Hey,

I have a 13b 6 port, i started it today in the morning and it shut itself off after being on for 6 secs. I think it may have gotten flooded some how. But i was checking out the spark plug cables and stuff. When i pulled the left on off the spot that is circled on the bottom image oil started leaking out. Whats up with that?

Sounds like you have failed coils.

Nice HEI ignition setup. Love those TFI coils for the leading.

Your not even using the coil that went bad are you? Your trailing is the one left in there or maybe
I have it backwards, but with that DFIS setup one of those coils is unused.

Alright imma go to Mazdatrix on Friday after work to pick up a new one. Will I only need to replace the damaged one or both? Do any of you guys have a link to DIY?

The car started and it feels completly diffrent from before. Its running stronger i can feel more power on the motor than before. But i get to work and when i tried to go buy some food for the lunch the car started up, then shut its self off and i didnt want to start anymore.

That was my car, the mounts are 1985-93 mustang tfi coil mounts... I actually pulled this and put an msd system in... it worked perfect when I pulled it... just had a spare new msd box and wanted to do something with it...
