Stacey's Stolen Rx-7 GSL-SE
Hi All!
When my car was stolen and recovered, the response I received via the internet really surprised me. I was in awe when I realized how tight knit this little community is. Boy, did I receive an education!
During the past year, I have received PM’s from many of you asking about the progress of the restoration. Well, it’s been a year and a half. I don’t think I need to tell you it’s a long story. But, for those of you who have asked me, I hope you enjoy the read.
I’ll let my friend Jim Rothe, from New Jersey tell you…………
If you know the story, just skip to the "restoration" part.

Thanks again forum!

The car looks great. I'm glad to see that you got her back in prime shape. I remember the original post on the FB list a few years back and lamented the fact that I lived too far away to look for it.
Anyways, congrats again.

I'm so glad you restored your car. I read the story last year and almost cried when I saw the stolen pics. Good job. Maybe i should get full coverage for my SE also!

So pretty. I'm so glad to see what happened and I'm glad to know that everything turned out for the better. That's such a lovely car, and it would have been a shame to see it dismantled.

Haha....
Stacey must have had a new to the business car salesman back in 1985.
Check out the original bill of sale again:
"Number of cylinders - 4" :P
Also, I noticed that the price of the car was $20,840. That was Canadian too?
I saw somewhere, that my 1984 GSL sold for $10,500 brand new. (US, of course).

Mine were painted at some point, as well.
White 84 -SE with white ears
edit: and I've seen enough -SEs with body colored mirrors that it doesn't jump out at me any more.
