Is this spoiler OEM?

I'm interested in buying this car, but I'm not sure if the bodykit that's on it is something real or just a cheap kit. It looks like it's been repainted in another shade of red (hatch keyhole is painted)

It is definitely NOT oem. There was only one OEM rear spoiler and you can check my album to see what it looks like.

That is what I thought but I was thinking it could've been a option for the targa cars. I really don't like the idea that it was repainted so shoddily but the interior is mint and it's got 120k on the 13b. Think it's worth 2800?

I missed out on another SE earlier this week and I've got a hole burning in my pocket.

The targa spoilers are totally different

Check the compression, thats the deal breaker right there IMO

Spoilers were popular 10 years ago. Now you never see them. What happened? Do spoilers destroy cars??

Personally, I'm not positive that this particular one ties in with the FB lines.

Does anyone recognize this kit? I'm about three hours out of Spartanburg,SC which is where this car is listed, anyone know member(s) that live closeby that might be able to check it out?

I'm in Greenville sc like 15min from Spartanburg, that car has been listed for a couple years, and it looks kinda pink, which is why I figure it's still for sale.

If it's mechanically in good shape I figure someone would've picked it up. I can always deal with the color later on just looking for something I can go for spirited runs on the weekends and not have to worry about the PO not doing the standard rotary maintenance or treating it like just another car. The car I missed out on, the owner had it for 13 years and was a rotary guy. Still kicking myself for that.

I have one of those spoilers that I pulled off of an 85 GSL. Its a pretty rugged unit but leaves large holes in the body when removed. Couldn't tell you who makes it. I've only ever seen the one I have and now this one.

I kinda got a thing for that wing.... I might email this dude. Needs to be angled a little more. It seems to be doing more lifting than downforcing.

Good looking car. Based on the firebird in the background, the seller is a big fan of bodykits.

Just thought I'd throw up some more pics of this type spoiler. I think its real nice. It fits well.

I don't have it bolted down in the pics, but the bolts are sitting in there little holes I drilled in the body.

As a side note. This is my first spoiler and I gotta say its more cleverly designed than I thought. It is shaped like an airplane wing upside down so it really does generate reverse lift.
