How much should I ask? It's got 18k miles on the rebuild. Would come mostly complete.

I was thinking $650. What are your thoughts?

650 would be a real good deal, I think. Who did the work?

just to give you an idea I paid $800 CDN for a stockport longblock 12a rebuilt with 30-40,000 km's on it... $650 bucks sounds like a great deal if the engine was built by someone rebutable.

The engine was built by a friend of mine. He's reputable around here, but doesn't have his own shop or anything. He's got a 7 of every generation, including a widebody SA, 93 R1 and a 10AE. Motor runs strong.

The engine is still in, and I drive it every day. On a 100 degree 70% humidity night with the stock intake, carb, and air cleaner, it ran a 15 in the 1/4. It's only made around 6 passes at the track. I prefer the autox, but have only made it out there twice.

Now I wish I was asking more, but that's the price I said. I could post it up on eBay if there's enough interest. Maybe I can get ahold of a digital video camera of it running.

so does your car have any mods other than the streetport? That seems like a pretty good time to me

At that time, all it had other than the engine was RB SP exhaust. But stock air/fuel system. I'm sure it's in the 14s now. It's got a Sterling and port-matched intake, and a RB PP Filter setup. All this is for sale, BTW.

I just sold my 12A SP engine with 700 miles since last rebuilt for $700. No carb though. I sold the sterling carb separately for 250.
