Someone tried to jack my car?

I went out to get some food in my 7 and when i tried to start her i couldnt get the key in. And after a few moments I looked at the lock and realized that someoned tried to steal my baby.

I had my stereo in the hatch sitting there disconnected and speakers and ntohign was stolen, just my ignition is fucked up.

That sucks! At least nothing was stolen. You should look into getting an alarm smartest move I’ve made.

fuuuuck that.

and watch for suspicious cars that are out of place, like you see em a lot or something.

A two way alarm is the way to go, that’s what I have but the pager is only good for a few miles.

Alarms are way over rated. In Ca alarms go off all day long on cars and no one pays any attention to them. The only thing that most people would want in our cars are the stereos. So if you have a detachable face type just remove the faceplate. You can also build some plates that go behind the outside door handles(inside the door shell) that will prevent anyone from being able to open the doors unless they break a window.

I just took my stereo out of my other car and had my complete deck and speakers sitting in the hatch and they didn't take anything. Just tried to start my car with a screwdriver it looks like.

Lucky for those ******* they didn't start my car becuase Rb headers to 2.5 inch pipes isn't a very quiet car to steal. And I would have been out there trying to murder people.

Thats a very nice 7 you have there and I'm glad nothing is gone. Have you got her started up yet. Or is the key hole still to screwed up? You need to put that beautiful 7 in a garage.

There were not smart enough to steal the car. Otherwise they would not have tried using a screwdriver or whatever to try and start the car.

Im lookin in a canadian tire flyer and theres a car batterey voltage monitor, If you forget to turn off lights it shuts them down and stuff. Also comes with 2 way remotes. It basically disconnects the batterey when activated.

Peace from Can

I'm glad he didn't get the car. It really sucks to hear that the ignition is messed up, and how much money you are going to be out because of it, but at least it isn't as much money as it would have cost you to buy another FB and try to get it like that one.

Fuel pump cut-off switch. They cant go far unless they tow it. Once the engine stalls in the middle of street, they wont have any choice but to abandon it.

Sorry to hear about damn thieves trying to steal your car. Glad they didn't get it.

The 1st gen ignition is a joke to jerry-rig, especially if the steering column cover is off. Only reason I know is because I had to go that route to try to start mine without a key when I first bought it (parts car, previous owner lost keys, title, and the fuel pump, and a bunch of electrical stuff - I wasn't aware of those last two). Kind of makes me glad that mine doesn't start period. Lack of a fuel pump (as well as some vital electrical stuff) will make a car damn hard to steal.

damn thats crazy. definately install at least one kill switch. i have 4 so far one to the fuel pump and 3 to the starter..the three need to be in certain positions to complete the circut . made sure to hide those 3 well too.. the fuel pump kill switch is out in the open as a decoy as well as future race prep
