Some pix of my 7

Here's some pix of my 7, she doesn't look like much, but hey, it was only $300 and almost rust free (the only spot of rust is the non-original door which is getting replaced)

Here's a shot of the front

rear

Interior (yes, I do have my work cut out for me)

Has anybody ever seen these rims before? I'm assuming they are stock but I've never seen any like them.

lol it orignally was silver, somebody painted it black though but under the hood and in the door areas it's still silver.

a silver 85 gsl was my first RX7 love, found one on a car lot with 135k on the speedo and $500 on the windshield. couldn't test drive it b/c of a broken door latch (replacement would have probably come off of this car ironically) I went back with a tow-dolly to pick it up and she was gone.

I may have it re-painted silver

I'm going to start on the interior soon, I've already got all the carpet and plastic pulled from the hatch area. I'm completely re-doing everything. I'm even building new door panels.

Looks good! No crumples, minor interior problems. I think you made a very good deal.

yeah, it's probably the best looking project I've gotten. When I was first asking about it, he told me it needed interior work... when he said that I started grinning b/c I've modified and re-done every interior of every car I've had... ever since my grandfather bought me my first car when I was 13 (85 Subaru GL-10 wagon... bougt for $300, sold for $2,000 by me at 15)

OK, so how is it that everyone seems to be stumbling into awesome parts cars, or even running cars, for $500 or less?

I guess I am blind...every car I see, from wrecks to pristine, seem to start at $2K and up to $6K.

Arghhhh!!!!!!

hey, I didn't even know this one even had a usable engine much less a running one (though I have yet to see it thx to my ignorance) It's got it's fair share of problems, like the clutch cylinders need to be replaced and I think it's got a bad heater core (a new one is in the front floor-board as seen in the interior shot) and I now have to replace the alt and igniters (which btw, anybody know where I can pick up some besides eBay)

I sent ya a pm but just in case ya see this first, they are 13's and in sweet shape.

If I get off early tomorrow I'm hoping to take each one off and clean the whole rim/tire. then they will look brand new

I got everything ripped out of the rear cargo area today. it's competely gutted from the seats back. I'm gonna start a new thread on my interior.
