ok so i got my holley up and running (feels no faster than stock nikki )
i wired open my omp, now my car faintly blows a greyish smoke, im pretty sure it is just from the omp being fully on and all but i was just curious.

That will do it. I just rebuilt my engine and it was running fine, not a bit of smoke. The only thing I didn't rebuild was the OMP. It began smoking, especially at idle after a few minutes and I checked the output of the OMP and the seals are shot as it is pumping max at idle. I don't thing it's necessary to have it wired open as this will just carbon up your plugs and rotors.

If you are going to keep your OMP operational, you need to have the proper linkage for the Holly. If not, you need to block it off and premix. Running the OMP opened up all the time you will be getting too much oil and like I said will just carbon up things. There are a lot of threads on pre-mixing. If your Holly does not have the OMP linkage, you can take it off of a Nikki and weld it onto the linkage of your Holly. That's what I did on my Edelbrock.
