Question smoke

Interesting, tonight when I came home ,I was doing maybe 60 tops for about 8 miles, when I stopped the smoke came out around the hood on the right side, origion was between the ex manifold and the shield around it. lifetime accumulation of crap ? oil leak , where? flush the area with the power washer? definite hot oil smell . any good ideas anyone? and anyone in lower Michigan that has a good 85 starter they might part with reasonable , please PM me. Thanks

Easiest way is to get the air pump out of the way. It's at the front of the engine at the bottom with a rod going up to the carb. They seem to leak frequently and a $16 rebuild kit from Lowe performance will do the trick. Rebuild took me maybe 10 minutes. Getting to it and getting it off was the worst part IMHO.
