I know this has been brought up time and time before, but I cannot seem to find what I am looking for.

I am wondering how much hp a heafty street ported half 12 a engine would produce? I am also wondering how mutch it would weigh as well. I might be using this in an aircraft. I am thinking about going with a twin engine design, so I would be running 2 half 12a engines.

Atkins rotary builds single rotor engines for marine use that run upto 100 HP I believe. I dont seem to recall if they said it was a 12a or 13b housing + rotor, but something tells me its probably a half 13b. I always wondered if you replaced a stock 12a with the single rotor how much it would change the handling considering all the hp would still be there. I think itd be neat anyway...

 

LOL I just thought of how funny it would be to tell someone your 650cc engine just smoked them....

single rotor setups can be made, and the best part? they can be made using stock parts, and stock weights

Probably only 70+- lbs less than a fully dressed FB.

 

About 150-175 lbs

i meen we have bad enough low end... with a 2 rotor...

 

perhapse. I think that twing single rotor engines are not efficent enough to give me the power I need, so I will have to think of something elce.
