Which should I go with?

Ok, I'm probably going to paint the FB white. Like a nice pearl white.

I stripped the paint off of one of my wheels, and am debating either repainting them all black, matching the pearl white when I get the whole car done, or polishing the ever loving **** out of them and leaving them be. Now, mind you, that's a quick strip job... There's still some black in the mesh, and it's not polished yet.

What do you guys think?

Here's plain:

Here's black:

Yep, I've seen his pics, which is why I debated leaving them black. His FB looks sharp.

Try PMing Midwest 7's I've seen lots O' center caps around his place.

Or perhaps Hades12 or CamoCarl (I think that's his name).

Are those LE wheels or something else?

I would paint the center of the rims the same color as the car and leave the lip polished.

Definately black with a polished lip. It's hard to look better than that with a white car.

I agree on black center with a bolished lip, unless your going to remove the black strips on the car, weren't you considering taking that off?

Yep, the black moldings are going to be completely removed. Including on the bumper covers.

I have a 323 GTX with white rims/white body. The car looks great until you move it more than 300ft and touch the brakes once or twice. Brake dust on white rims=never ending battle. And mine are 5 spoke wheels, you have the mesh to clean. Definitely go black.

I don't think they'll come off the bumper covors.

I just had mine painted.

They'll come off when I take my cutting wheel to them. Then, I'm gonna fiberglass them smooth.

How'd you strip the rims? I have the EXACT same ones you do! Mine are black with a polished lip, but I want to strip them and do it correctly... just curious on what you used to do the job. And I'm missing my center caps too... if you come across someone selling anything that fits, LMK - thanks mang.

BTW, my vote goes to leaving them black and polishing the lip. That's what I'm doing with mine.

Oh... and DAMN, that white car is sharp looking!

Black looks best IMHO, but I think white would be okay too. Check out some 10AE FCs to see what white-on-white looks like. The Japanese love that kind of look, but I'd do black with polished lip (I want that on my silver FB myself).

Spray on paint stripper from Autozone. I taped off the lip just in case it would **** it up, sprayed it on, left it for half an hour and hosed it off. I'm just going to go over it with some fine sand paper to get any little spots off that didn't make it. Couldn't be easier.

I know. I'm cutting them out and replacing them with a solid piece of fiberglass. I know that if I cut them, the bumper gets cut in two.

I have a master plan.

Oh yeah, and I'm gonna polish the wheels.
