That's awesome!!!!!!
Hey, two questions, first, what's your set-up so I know how to do the same thing, second, does anyone know the laws on that kind of thing? I live in London Ontario, and I'd like to maybe have some flames to call my own someday, but I don't know if I'm going to get pulled over for that. Anyone know?

hey clean...

hey clean

where abouts are you???

are yu coming out to the meet?? on the 24th>?

to do the flame job,

yu have to have yur cats and all that smog **** off....
and then have a straight pipe.

the only way you can do this legally around here is if,
yu have an 82 model year or lower..

that makes it 20 years old and exempt,

so it doesn;t need anything, that "helps" clean the air

also the law,
i stated above, and for cops? just don;t do it when there around, lol

i can see it now

they pull up behind yu,
you don;t see em, so yu just start revving up and down and then drop the clutch, lol,

probably will get pulled over and ticketed for excessive noise, and melting his pos malibu bumper.

Action

I guess I'll watch out for them..

But aside from a ticket for excessive noise or something, is there a law against flames?

Oh yah, I'm in London. My car's not really running right now, I was racing down the road the other day and did something.. not sure what yet, and now I have NO power, so I don't think I'll be out to any meets anytime soon.

I know a easy way of getting flames to shoot out of your exhast, but its kind of cheating. You drill a hole in your exhast near the muffler. Insert a spark plug(seal it well, so you don't have a leak), and wire it up to a switch and power soruce. As you floor it, flip the switch and watch flames come out.

No good man. The catalytic converters take out all the unburned fuel long before then. Plus you'd need an ignition coil to fire the plug. With a straight exhaust and a properly connected ignition circuit, you could probably pull it off, but the heat of the rotary exhaust takes care of the ignition for ya. So in reality, all you need is a straight through exhaust.

Don't believe everything you read on teh net, especially in the "Anarchist's Cookbook".

It does work. You just have to make sure your running a little rich. That way the engine doesn't burn all the gas that it come in contact with and blown out the exhast. I guess I didn't state that a stright pipe is a must, the cats would prevent all of this. Sorry about that. It's alot of fun. But I'm pretty sure it's not good for the exhast nor the engine. This way you have more control on when the flames come out. It's not a exact science but it works. :p

I used to shoot flames like that until I removed my emmissions gear. I think my shutter valve was ******* up.

As I understand it, you shouldn't be shooting flames unless you have a totally straight pipe. If you're shooting flames with a presilencer or whatever, something's wrong (assuming every else is stock of course.)
