Back when I had full emissions, my car would shoot 1-2 foot flames by revving up in neutral with a little technique. Now with the ACV removed and blocked, all emissions removed and full exhaust I don't get the decel backfires that I used to. Which is nice because the car sounds like less of a piece of crap when coming to a stop. Open up your exhaust a little, my headers with a straight-through design exhaust combined with mechanical secondaries that like to stick a little everynow and then can make for some interesting shows. Great for removing tailgaters from the rear bumper, the exhaust still has to be pretty hot for me to shoot flames, ie highway driving or just given'r. It's awesome when you light up an entire lonley back road and can see the trees ahead of you on both sides bask in an orange glow. Or is is sad because the fire from my tailpipe provides more lateral illumination than my headlights?

The guys in the flame shooting contests use a fuel pump and a spark plug. Blip the extra fuel pump on, flip the spark switch, and WHOOSH!

Although it would probably be easier for you to just take off the emissions stuff. My fb with headers and straight pipe backfires every time I shut it off. If I don't have any plates on the Supertrapp, you can see the flames.

another way it to setup another coil and sparkplug int the rear tap the spark plug into teh exhaust tailpipe then make a switch for that to go on the another switch to cut off power yo your main coilsrev it up real good flip teh switches gas will go righ tthrough you engine unburned then get light upon exiting the exhaust causing flames.. yea.. umm not good for your engine letting the gas go through cuz it removes the oil nad stuff and hmm yea usual dislcaimer dont do this at home type stuf.. have fun :]

Hmmm...what about a straight through exhaust with a little burr or something sticking into the middle, would it heat up enough to cause the rest of the unburned gas to ignite? If this were the cross section of the pipe it would be something like this--> ( | ) (no its not an ***)
Anyone know if this would work lol

I've learned to "key-bang" my FB... Rev it up, cut the key off for about a second, turn it back on.... BOOM!!!!

Is this possible with an FD since it doesn't have headers? Curious.

I wonder if you can get a ticket for shooting flames out the back of your car?

have you seen rich running fb's rear bumbers? shooting flames might look cool until your rear bumper starts turning yellow/black and nasty.

The pic in my sig is when i had a stock exhaust manifold and straight pipe into a straight through muffler, but my manifold had a huge leak because i broke off the flange bolt... it wasn't running rich either.
