Smart move with the blurred image, don't want any bored lawyers finding somebody to sue (even though I think you are selling these at cost, so they have no profits to take anyways- but the t-shirt shop could be liable). Small runs of shirts are way expensive compared to large runs. Good job.

It's not the name - it's the logo...

Sure, they changed the logo on the FCs in 86, but still Ford owns enough of mazda that they can insist that they pursue trademark infringment... even if it's 18 years old and not in use.

 

And how is the logo different than the pic in your sig.?

I hate stupid stuff like that. You are adverstising for them for free and they want to cause trouble.

 

He isn't trying to sell his sig. If you sell anything that has some other company's logo anywhere on it without their permission, you could end up in court. But they usually are too busy cracking down on people making a profit of the logo (like selling replacement logos for cars and such) to be worried over a few enthusiasts who want to give them free advertising.
