Mazda Rotaries at Deals Gap (Tail of the Dragon) April 8th-10th, 2005
This is a FREE event!! And thru sponsors we will try to provide lunch and drinks... If enough sponsorship, we will also provide dinner to all the people who purchased the T-shirts (Back of the T-shirts will have all the sponsors name, logo, and web address). Its a way to thank them all.
As of now, Rotary Extreme, RotoSport, HinsonSuperCar, and possibly RX7store, RX7trix, and working on few other vendors.
There will be door prizes and only to people who w/ Tshirt will qualify.
I know the title says Rotaries.. but Its opened to rotaries and all the EX- Rotary cars (V8s).Brian Hinson is coming out w/ their LS1 FD3s and other V8 RX7s were interested in coming to this event.
Fontanna Village is our main place to stay and the director of Group Reservation gave us an awesome deal.
He is letting us book the cabin at the LOW SEASON RATE + additional 15% off
And 25% off of the LOW SEASON RATE for the Hotel/Inn rooms.

The way we are going to control people would be thru the shirts..
Shirts are going to be the KEY thing to have. It will be your ticket to registration and also for free food, drink, and door prizes.. All the people who purchase will get priority over people who just show up.

With Phil quarterbacking this event, how can ya go wrong? I'll be there for "Sevens on the Shore". I need to load in a closed-loop map for the PFC to improve interstate cruise mileage.... running 'open-loop-only' is gettin' to be excessively wasteful.
Will run open-loop for performance on the Tail. Anybody got a good INJ map for single turbo?

here are the updates to this event..
I now have 4 definite sponsors.
RX7store.net, Rotaryextreme.com, RX7trix.com, and Hinsonsupercars.com (*thank you guys*)
RX7store and Rx7trix (and maybe local Spec Clutch, and trussville mazda) will donate rotary related parts for door prizes and also Car show prizes.
Also, I've confirmed a local pizza joint (which is 35miles away) to bring us 40 Large pizzas for saturday lunch... Don't worry, they have heated bags to keep them warm.. Pizzas and drinks will be free to those purchase the shirt (thats the way we are advertising this event and vendors are paying for all the food and drinks).
Also, here are couple of videos of the Deals Gap. I've recieved few PMs about people asking what s the big deal with Deals Gap.. Video might answer that question.
