Second Gen Tranny?

Will a second gen tranny fit a GSL-SE?
I can get a good deal on one and I know the clutches are interchangable and was just wondering if the trannys are also.
Thanks

I think you have to make a custom driveshaft... Better use the gsl-se tranny IMO.

If it's an N/A unit, you can just swap your GSL-SE tailhousing and shift tower/main shift rod onto it and you are golden.

My question is, why? It's the exact same transmission internally, just that all the gears are a little taller (except 4th of course)

I can understand if your existing trans is dead or dying, but FC manuals usually aren't in good shape because FC's are heavier and more powerful.

If it's a T2 trans, it's a nice beefy unit but swapping is more involved. That is the one where you need to get creative with the clutch and driveshaft.

Makes sense then.

As long as it is from a non turbo RX-7, there is no fabrication necessary. Swap tailshaft assemblies and toss it in.
