84 stereo harness??
I put an after market stereo in mine. I just ran new wires for the speakers front and rear. Used a new ground wire (screwed into some metal behind the dash) new wire to the battery for memory and tied into a stock wire that came on with the ignition. That was the only wire I cut and I put it back together with the other wire in there with a crimp cap. All stock wires are still in place and usable.

You can get a harness - www.cardomain.com have one. However, depending on what model you have you will have either one or two amplifiers under the storage bins. This means that there are no speaker wires behind the dash (or fron only) so you end up running new wires unless you feed line level output to the amps.
So the harness pretty much is only good for power.

Normally, a SEARCH would resolve this. Even the exact pin layout for the radios.
The stock amps are behind the seats in the bins. From there, all 4 sets of speaker wires go out to the factory location.
Get the aftermarket radio, put a 4 channel amp in one of the bins, and use the stock wires to feed the speakers.
Good Luck.
