lol...speaking of pacesetter......i really freakin hate to do it, but im toying with the idea of temporarily using one on my rex if its smog legal here until i can take the car out of CA. stupid smog year freeze......i would be soooo close right now....stupid C.A.R.B.
what kind of problems would i run in to if i did this....besides not being as good as an RB or SDJ?

sdj headers are proven to gain much power over RB's. one of the differences is the length of which they extend from the block. the farther out you go the better.

Does anyone have any idea about the engineering "rational" for these header designs?
Tuned length at what frequency at what EGT? etc. . Are they working as extractors? or as tuned resonators.
Do the two rotors "Talk to each other". The RB twin pipe would suggest only extractors. That is dump the spent gasses independently with the least amount of resistance.
Wondering

Just a question to someone that already has an SDJ ... when they shipped it one of the pipes wasn't welded i emailed him about it and he said
Quote:
That joint is left unwelded intentionally. The pipe is
a "swage" fit (ie: Press fit) it is designed like that to
allow for expansion of the header without cracking.
Does that sound right? Or is he telling me this just for his reputation not to go bad. Cause if he did forget to weld it i will get it done on monday with the rest of the system
