I'd like to hear how much exhaust noise comes thru that stainless system. That's the problem I see with stainless...its never thick enough to properly muffle...on a street car, and has that tinny, tinky sound.

I hate the people that talk about things being more expensive when they don't really work things out.
Be nice if you gave that information before sledging us, we only got told the headers price at $425.......

you see that is the whole problem.. i dont want to have to pay for the R&D and the Dyno runs.. therefore i will continue to buy RB headers... and use the extra money for gas or something usefull. If you want to spend all your money on headers then that is fine if you have the budget for that kind of thing.. but some of us have real world bills and families to take care of.. i can see spending that on the car if all you do is race it and you are trying to win legit races and you have exhausted every last second out of your car.... then yes that would be a great buy.. but im just telling you that i wouldnt buy it unless i absolutely had to have it and even then i would still probably get the RB header because it is race proven and has been for many years. Until you have conflicting reports done by a 3rd party about the gains that are above the RB header then i dont believe you should spend that much more on it. Plus it still looks like a bunch of metal welded together. i prefer smooth lines and something remotely visually appealing..

end of rant

And one more thing .. stainless steel does rust.. so it will not last forever. My friend's father owns a machine shop and shows me SS rods that are rusty all the time.

You guys do realize that if this header is the **** it is purported to be, it's just a matter of time before someone buys one, copies it, and sells it for less $$.

this header is by no means for a poor kid trying to fix his seven up.. the sdj header is as good as it gets and is worth every penny, thats the bottom line.. this is only for the serious enthusists that are looking for the edge.. the sdj header is exactly that...

if your comparing quality , sdj wins hands down...
if your comparing price , well then racing beat wins...
BUT, you'r still comparing a ferrari to a fiat... what do you want?what can you afford? what are your goals with your project?
ok, i gotta go and eat sum cheese now, bye

all you cheese people make me hungry when you start talkin about this cheese talk ... i just had a cheese pizza with like 5 different cheese kind ... umm stretchy pizza lol.

Back to SDJ now ... i'm the kind of guy that like to do things right the first time ... like to afford this is had to get a second job during christmas to afford it. I'm still in school and i pay for school in cash i don't like debts. And if i really want something i just work hard for it, i was putting in about 80 hours a week for 3 weeks straight to afford it.

exactly, i agree 100% but about the SS, it is a better grade of metal, it will rust, but it will last longer, and is stronger. MY father owns a machine shop, and of course anything will rust, like diamonds will eventually deteriorate. (maybe a bad analogy, but they say diamonds are forever, and there not.)

Unless, of course, you have the dual SP exhaust.

Bringing it back from the dead ... just because I felt like it

This header still lives on the car and performed well. I have had to re weld the flange at a couple of spots, but nothing major.
