Sad...

I found this add while looking around for a daily driver... people will do anything to sell a car. According to this genius, a 79 RX-7 with an open differential started the "drift craze," morons.

OPEN ON SUNDAYS ALSO, CALL FIRST!!!! 1979 MAZDA RX-7. Perfect for drifting, racing or just plain every day driver. Drift car, manual choke, toggle switches, fast, new tires, SWEET FIVE SPEED, POWERFUL ENGINE. One of the original DRIFT CARS. STARTED THE DRIFT CRAZE. A BLAST TO DRIVE. One of the first cars to start the drifting craze, still fast, strong engine, perfect car to customize for racing or drifting.

I hope someone worthwhile finds and buys this car.

What do you mean? It is a coupe.

On the other hand, it is listed as a 1981, and has a 1981 VIN, but the rubber side trim, bumpers, and taillights are series 1. Something is not being disclosed.

And what is all the white-paint-looking substance on the roof and base of the hatch?

LOL. Power steering, allow wheels, and tilt steering. They're not even sure what options it has, much less what year it is.....

If I'm not mistaken, autotrader only lets you search from 1981 and up so that may be the reason it's listed as an '81.

The VIN is totally wrong so something does look fishy. It's definitely a 79 or 80 judging from the tail lights.
