RX7's in movies/shows
Michael Peņa drives a SA RX-7 in the movie A Million Miles Away. A biopic about Jose Hernandez and his path from a farm worker to becoming an engineer and an astronaut.
A tale of perseverance, community and sacrifice to accomplish a seemingly impossible dream .. (which almost sounds like restoring a 1st gen RX-7).
The car colour appears to be Gleam Ivory which is period correct for 1980.

I'm not sure if Gleam Ivory (VE) was an RX-7 color for 1980, maybe Imperial Gold (M4) or Solar (M3)?
After driving it 10+ years Jose gave his 7 to his cousin Beto after he had a bunch of kids and joined NASA in the early 2000's.
Good movie, very inspirational. Watch it on Amazon prime.video.

Bored in my hotel room tonight so rewatched Terminator 2. Realized 10 mins in that its superb territory for finding RX7s. No confirmed sightings though, closest was something that turned out to be a Fiat X19.

There was a movie staring the "Rock" that was partially filmed in Vancouver. It was a "towering inferno" genre film that bombed. Bunch of local FD were called out to be part of a street scene. I don't know if the scene made it into the movie. But we got local guys posting pics of the filming.

The movie was called "Skyscraper". The trailer does not have a street scene. I suppose we'd have to look through the whole movie.

1981 Absence of Malice. Sally Field's car is an FB. Don't have a screen shot right now but I'll try to find one.
It appears several times usually parked I think.
Hell of a movie, it's aged well. Still relevant, good story and lots of good actors.
One of Paul Newman's better movies.
Great thread ! I'm always watching for RX's and sporty cars in old movies.
