if it was from the factory on a 13b it is a hatachi, the 12a carbs are nikkis, if you need a extra or better carb go to the junkyard and get a nikki, then rebuild, or send it to Paul Yaw and for $300 he'll make it THE best carb for a street rotary,(witch, by the way, is less than Rx7.com charges for a rebuild and r&r).
Hmmm...I have a spare working Nikki (for sale?) and about $300, does that Yaw carb run good for a stock port? You said "street rotary", did you mean SP, or just a street application?

A street application, or a race application that requires you to use the nikki.

Not to scare anyone off a Yaw carb, but $300 will not cover it. Plan on around $500.
You need to replace the fuel pump, add a regulator, and buy a pressure gauge. Along with the carb pricing, which is slightly more than an even $300, and you are going to beat the hell out of a $500 bill.
It's worth it, but just be aware of all of the costs.
just my opinion,
