Runs rough..

I have a 84 gsl-se, with a 12a. Previous owner swapped that in. Today was the first day that it was cold and i drove it. It ran really rough at nite, but it ran better in the morning(warmer). Weather have anything to do with this?

Is there a way to prevent it?

also when a clutch is going, what happens?

do u have to give it alot (more than usual) to make it move?

cus that is what is happening.

Yes it could. Whats you intake setup? Cold air intakes can cause carb ice, mainly between 40-50 degrees. A bad clutch disc is usually shown by slipping. You rev and the morot revs but the car doesnt move accordingly.

how was it running other than at idle. Like when you merge onto a freeway, does it bog down or miss?

same thing happened to me this morning... I put the choke on, choke got off, everything was fine for like 5 minutes, then all of a sudden at a red light I put the car on neutral and the rpm's drop and it dies. same thing at the next red light, and the other(it did it like 5 times). Then it was ok

Plus my engine was hot(a little less than the half in the water temp. gauge

its weird!
