Light Flywheel

I found a lightened flywheel from a 88 RX-7 and Ive heard that these will work with the first gens.
Do they?
I think the counterweights are different is this true?
Thanks

depends on what car... 83 and lower used a 215mm flywheel and teh 84+ cars used a 225mm one.

yes the flywheel will work, but you need to get a matching couterweight (if you have a 225mm car)

I think the casting number of the counter weight you need is 1029. It is from and early 13B, and you can check to be sure on Mazdatrix web site.

Good luck
