You will lose substantial power, at least in the low end. It will be too painfull to try the high end. Not sure about any damage done to the motor but if run for an extended period of time, it will start to rattle nuts and bolts loose. I ran my FB on open header for about 3 weeks, daily driven, 16 miles round trip thru town, in the summer with no A/C. It's actually more painfull with the windows down due to it echoing off of things. It sounds so bad *** though LOL

You will "lose" torque and that gawdawful rump rump will shake the bolts "loose" everywhere if you run it for too very long...part of any race team's prep is tighten every bolt not safety-wired on the car and for a good reason. You can barely sit in a rex uncorked if you aren't wearing plugs and a helmet...crazy loud.

Suprisingly enough I never got pulled over for it. It is indeed very loud. Yeah there's no low end at all. If you floor it to try and get moving it's very slow going. wihout ear plugs I would not recommend trying the upper end. I managed about 4k before it got too much for me

I ran my Rx7 open headers to the muffler shop so I can get my exhaust welded, that **** was retardedly loud, it hurt my ears and over 4k I was overwhelmed with vibrations and loud noises.
Also when I first put the motor in my 85gs, I ran it without any exhaust at all.. It was loud and sounded like air puffs
