Rubber door weatherstripping

What the title states. Where can I get new factory weatherstripping for the doors on my FB?

Just order some from Mazda. It's pretty cheap, and fits better than the similarely priced A-1 ebay stuff.

I've installed the A-1 ebay stuff and it fit perfectly! But if the price is similar I guess go for the Mazda stuff.

Does anyone know if the Mazda parts are newly constructed or are they parts made long ago and warehoused?

I have a complete set of door seals, and a hatch seal . I bought them for my '85 GSL, then bought the '84 GSL like two weeks later, so I never put them on the '85. I am saving them for the '84.

They appear to be new. The stock labels are nice and new and shinny, and the rubber is nice and soft and plyable. They even come with new press in fittings to hod the molding on.

I got the ebay specials..SEEMED to work great. Then I drove thru a 'touchless' car wash and literally got soaked to my drawers!
Could be a door misalignment or something, I may order factory ones and try again. (in a wetsuit )

the A-1 ones are about 50% cheeper than the mazda ones if you can find a dealer that will still sell them. I went to all the dealers in my area and none stock them only 2 out of 8 would order them. prices on those were 99.00 and 115.00 plus shipping and tax. 4 of them use the A-1 seals. the other 2 were useless to talk to. the victory british ones are the A-1 seals. I am going to get the A-1 door seals for my car. A friend got some for his car and we installed them. they looked better than the ones I got at the dealer 8 years ago and came with all the pins fit perfect. mwpayne I would check the door alignment. they are cheeper to get off ebay than on the A-1 site but if you call them they will match the price and give a discount on the rear hatch seal also.

I bought A-1 off eBay and they have worked just great. Pins lined up perfectly. I did have to bend in the door frames a bit, as they had pulled away over the years - but the seals worked and looked better than I expected for the cost. Just my $.02...

I'm gonna check Autozone before I go to a dealership. Man 80 bucks seems a lot to dish out for some rubber doesn't it?

There are two more A-1 sets on eBay now....total cost to ship to door...$60.95....just use "Buy Now"....I'm calling them now to pay for 'em......a previous purchase for the '68 P/S Firebird (that would be an example of an F-body... ) convinced me they are the real deal....good stuff...

I got mine from Mazdatrix, the nylon pins are smaller then the factory holes so they fall out. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just got a pair of the ebay ones in the mail, they look pretty good but I haven't installed them yet. I got them because basically you get two for the price of one - the Mazda dealer in Atlanta had them for $64 each, vicotria brittish are $60 each plus shipping according to my 2001 catalog, while the ebay ones were $60 with shipping, FOR A PAIR. However, I got one of the last three sets, they may all be gone now

I just installed the eBay ones. $60 shipped to my door, and it's a great company. Took me 8 min. to install both doors, and that included the time it took to pull out all the old clips with pliers. They fit perfectly and I dont' see how anything could fit better. I also had to bend my door frame a little bit because mine were pulled away. No leaks, and saved $25 over dealer.

BTW my Mazda dealer has to look up parts for me on microfeech (sp) because they don't have paper manuals or computer programs. It's a PITA to get dealer parts, but I got new window seals for $30 from them and replaced my dry rotted ones.

Just so you know..I got one of those ebay CD's with the parts lists (factory) on them. If you look up your own part numbers the dealer will appriciate it..I get a 15% discount because of that. That makes dealer parts cheaper than VB or mazdatrix, especially with shipping!
Since I am one of the very few RX-7 parts buyers, I don't even have to go there and pay first, I just look up the numbers and give 'em a call. They call me when they arrive, I pay when I pick 'em up.

Just put mine in. The gorilla glue slowed things down but they work nice, probably easier just to put them in without the glue. Ebay specialls, 52.95 or something like that.
