When you say you moved the ignitor, where did you put it and what exactly did you do?

remember, your tachometer works using your trailing ignition. do you have an ignitor for the trailing side in place and working correctly?

Hmm, sounds like a loose connection. The trailing ignitor does control the tachometer. Make sure all the terminals are clean and free of corrosion and that the trailing ignitor is hooked up exactly as it should be. If that doesn't fix it, take a couple pictures of it and throw them up on here so we can see what your working with to better figure it out.
