Rough idle please help asap!!!!!!!!

Hey my name is Larry and I own a White 1985 Mazda RX7 GS with a 12A carbureted engine.

None of the gauges work. The tac kind of works (it moves but doesn't give an acute reading. Ex. When I pull the choke all the way out, the tac says 1000 RPM). The car has also been idling and running EXTREMELY rough, and what I mean by EXTREMELY rough is that it vibrates EXTREMELY bad (super hard and fast). Me and my father have been working on it for around 3-4 weeks trying to figure out what the problem is. We have replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, dropped the transmission (and put it back on), did a seafoam engine clean (thinking that it could be from carbon build up) 1/3 in the crankcase, 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/6 poured down the carburetor), and now I am currently replacing the igniters.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME ASAP! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANY MORE!

Have you swapped the coils? Also the cap and rotor can make it run rough. The high idle is another problem. There are a number of threads on it.

You guys are doing a bunch of work which isn't working. Have you looked inside the carb yet? I think it's time for a simplified Nikki mod.

I haven't looked inside, what would I be looking for and what's the simplified nikki mod?
